Anne (アン, An) is a character in Ousama Ranking and its anime adaption. Anne the Knight is a loyal member of Queen Hiling's personal guard.
Appearance[]
Anne is a tall, broad-shouldered woman with light-red curly hair cut into a short bob. Like all other knights in Hiling's personal guard, she wears grey plate armor over a dark grey tunic, along with a close helmet devoid of fins or spikes, emblazoned with a 1. Similarly she also wears black and red striped trunk hose over black trousers, and armoured boots.
Personality[]
Anne is loyal, strategic, and competent. She appears to be a more experienced knight than her compatriots in Hilling's personal guard, and may be the second-in-command after Dorshe. She is the only one of the retainers that addresses Hiling without using her title of Queen, implying an old connection. Little else is known about her.
Plot[]
As one of Hilling's personal guard, Anne defended the queen when she was attacked by Miranjo and the Underworld prisoners. Anne quickly distinguished herself as an especially-competent fighter, and was largely able to keep up with the Dorshe as the two subdued Miranjo's attacking hellhounds.
Anne is quickly dispatched by Ouken, barely surviving thanks to Hilling's healing magic.
Unfortunately when Ouken joined the fight Anne found herself facing off against the master swordsman. She was quickly defeated, only barely surviving with the help of Hilling's healing magic. She, Hiling, and the three others of Hiling's personal guard stayed behind for the rest of the battle. She is last seen in the aftermath of the battle. She is not seen after the coronation and subsequent abdication of Bojji.

Anne's preferred weapons are short, gripless, diamond-shaped throwing knives similar to kunai. She is deadly-accurate with them, and was able to slay multiple hellhounds on her own with just her projectiles.
