Giants are an endangered, intelligent species in the world of Ousama Ranking.
Appearance[]
Giants are generally humanoid in appearance, but many times larger in size. The progenitors of the species were so large they dwarfed mountains, while modern giants are significantly smaller, roughly 3-4 times the height of the average human.
They tend to have well-developed muscles, and generally appear to be more stout than humans.
History[]
The history of Giants is largely unknown, however they appear to have dwindled in both size and population since the advent of their species. Unlike Humans, Giants do not appear to have ever been slaves of the Gods, and seemed to have relatively little contact with that species.
Modern Giants display sapient intelligence, and are capable of cooperating with and living among Humans.
Giants appear to be endangered. It is now exceptionally rare to see a pure-blooded giant in most of the known world.
Offspring[]
A strange aspect of the species, female Giants can only give birth to one child in their entire lifetime. This appears to have doomed them to extinction. Male giants do not share this limitation.
Giants are capable of interbreeding with at least one other species, Humans. The offspring of Giant and a Human is a hybrid species known as a Half-Giant. Half-Giants appears to grow significantly larger and stronger than pure humans, but it's unknown if they can equal the height or power of a pure giant.

Giants' enormous stature grants them equally enormous physical power. The Giant adventurers Bosse and Sheena were notorious for their strength.

Historical Giants were known to eat entire forests and drink lakes dry
Historical giants were known to devour entire forests and drink lakes dry. Because of this the Giant species developed extremely hardy constitutions, to the point where they are immune to most poisons.
