Kage's Mother (カゲ母, Kage Haha) is a character in Ousama Ranking and its anime adaption.
Appearance[]
As a member of the Shadow clan, she appears as a standard, adult shadow with reddish brown eyes and long eyelashes. She uses metal claws while fighting.
Personality[]
She appears to be a loving and caring mother for her son. She is also an assassin and claims to "assassinate anyone, regardless if they're women, children, elderly, or even sick people."
Plot[]
Little is known of her backstory besides that she was an assassin for the Bo Kingdom. She had her son, Kage, and raised him lovingly while continuing to work.
She sends Kage to the Poison forest
When Kage was a child, the Shadow clan was annihilated supposedly after someone tried to murder their lord. As they run through the city streets, members of the clan are stabbed with spears. Soldiers continue to pursue them as they flee outside the city and Kage's mother instructs him to continue to the Poison Forest. A member of the Light clan casts a spell that illuminates the area, exposing Kage and his mother. She attempts to stall them as Kage flees but he mocks that their detached force probably already got him. They stab her to death and begin searching for Kage[1].
Her corpse on Geslan's sword.
A count's daughter, Poise, hides Kage in her stuffed spider and misdirects the soldiers to continue on to the forest. Kage is almost found when he sees his mother's corpse on Geslan's sword, but Poise covers for him and he manages to escape[2].
