Ringi (リンギ, Ringi) is a character in Ousama Ranking. He is the former Lieutenant of the Kuhya Kingdom's military, but in reality was a spy for the Geslan Kingdom.

Appearance[]

Ringi is an average-height man with light hair in a bowl-cut, an up-turned nose, thick eyebrows, a thin mustache, and very prominent buck teeth.

He prefers to wear a light, striped tunic with long sleeves, light hose, and black shoes. When in battle he wears full-body chainmail under the Kuhya Kingdom's tabard.

Personality[]

In sharp contrast to his commander, Sadi, Ringi presented himself as a preserved, down-to-earth, and friendly person who was happy to play along with Sadi's war games. During serious situations, he is showns to be more sly and spiteful, eager to achieve his goal no matter what.

Plot[]

Early Life[]

Ringi was born in a peaceful unnamed village and lived with his parents for quite some time during his childhood. One day, the Geslan army arrived along with their commander, seeking to conquer the village to capture the citizens as slaves.

While the adults try to fight with all their might, they ended up getting slaughtered one-by-one by the commander. Ringi who saw this slaughter as a child, cry out loud, unfortunately him along with the other children of the villages were helpless and are taken away in the end by the Geslan army.

Working for Geslan[]

Ringi grow up most of his life in Geslan Kingdom as a slave. In which he hated his life because of the harsh environment, but still manage to find comfort in companionships of his slave fellows, some of them being the Geslan soldiers and Masked Swordsman.

Ringi along with his fellows are trained to do combats and heavy duties such as mining, he is also assigned to work as a torturer where he was forced to whip slaves for any perceived crime. He hated inflicting such pain on people, and tried to shirk doing so at every opportunity.

One day Ringi encountered a man named Sadi, the manservant of a noble. Sadi took Ringi's whip and viciously struck the slaves, completing their punishment in a few short moments. Ringi took this as evidence of Sadi's sadism, not realizing Sadi was trying to get the punishment over with as quickly as possible.

Life at Kuhya Kingdom[]

Years later Ringi would be sent to infiltrate the neighboring Kuhya Kingdom as a spy for Geslan's forces. He joined the military, and eventually worked his way up to the rank of Lieutenant, second-in-command to Sadi, who had mysteriously joined Kuhya sometime before.

Ringi would serve the Kuhya Kingdom for years, until the Geslan Kingdom's forces finally staged their attack. During the attack Sadi tasked Ringi with protecting the castle from the walls while he lead a sortie against the attackers. Ringi used the opportunity to slay many Kuhya soldiers and allowed bandits to take over the castle.

During the ensuing confrontation, Ringi was exposed as a spy and grievously injured. He managed to escape in the confusion, his future uncertain.

Ringi served King Kuhya as a loyal retainer for years, only to betray him at a pivotal moment.

Ringi served Mehhi for years before betraying her trust.

Sadi[]

Ringi had actually encountered Sadi in the Geslan Kingdom, and came away believing Sadi to be a complete sadist. He allowed Sadi to believe the two of them were friends for years before his betrayal.
