Sadi (サディ, Sadi) is a character in Ousama Ranking. He is the Commander of the Kuhya Kingdom's military.
Appearance[]
Sadi is a large, barrel-chested, unpleasant-looking man with wavy, light-colored hair, a pointed nose, prominent bags under his eyes, and large lips held in a near-constant scowl.
He prefers to wear a light, clover-patterned tunic over a darker shirt with billowy sleeves, dark hose, and black shoes. When in battle he wears full-body chainmail under the Kuhya Kingdom's tabard.
Personality[]
In contrast to most other characters, Sadi prefers to present himself as a vicious, particularly nasty villain. He seems to enjoy brandishing knives and swords, and making unsettling threats to people.
Though he pretends to be a psychopath, in reality Sadi prefers to make himself the villain for other peoples' benefit. His intimidating behavior allows King Kuhya and Mehhi to publicly stop and punish him, increasing their favorability among the people, while allowing Sadi himself to enjoy a fearsome reputation.
In spite of his unsavory tactics, Sadi has repeatedly shown himself to be deeply loyal to the Kuhya Kingdom, and doesn't think twice before offering to sacrifice himself for both his soldiers and the royal family.
He's also given to making ridiculous, fanciful tactical plans, possibly showing a lack of experience on the battlefield.
Plot[]
Commander Sadi is the leader of the Kuhya Kingdom's military, and said to be the strongest man in the entire state of Kuhya. Whether or not this is true is up for debate, but Sadi is a loyal retainer to King Kuhya all the same.
Originally from the miserable Geslan Kingdom, Sadi emigrated to Kuhya under unclear circumstances. In his past life in Geslan he served as a noble's manservant, already using his false cruelty to help shorten the misery of those around him.
When the Geslan Kingdom staged their attempted overthrow of Kuhya Sadi immediately rallied the soldiers to defend against the invading bandits. Unfortunately he fell for a ruse that separated Kuhya's soldiers from the royal family, but with a timely assist from Kage Sadi was able to make it to the throne room and attempted to defend King Kuhya and Mehhi.
Relationships[]
King Kuhya[]
Sadi is a loyal retainer of King Kuhya, and dutifully follows his orders. He also frequently uses his unsavory demeanor to help Kuhya seem more righteous in front of his citizens.
Princess Mehhi[]
Mehhi seems to have a bit of a childish crush on Sadi, but Sadi is completely oblivious to this. He treats her much the same as he treats King Kuhya, serving as a loyal retainer and following her orders dutifully.
Ringi[]
Prior to the attempted overthrow Ringi was Sadi's second-in-command and constant companion. The two appeared to be friends, but the depths of their relationship was never shown.
Abilities[]
Strongest Man in Kuhya[]
Sadi is suggested to be a capable warrior, and is often touted as the strongest man in the Kuhya Kingdom. It's unclear how he stacks up against other opponents, but like most he is far weaker than Bojji.
